Assyrian Wedding at University of Toronto

I had a great pleasure of photographing Noora and Simon's Assyrian wedding. Both preparations were held at the Toronto apartments.  It was noisy and filled with laughter, fun and family as it is part of tradition to have all family involved. Wedding ceremony took place at the Assyrian church in Toronto and afterwards we went for a session with a couple and their bridal party to University of Toronto. I was thrilled to go to their reception. The women danced with those scarves, which make a ton of noise. The men danced with canes that have beads all over them as well.  The bride and groom were immediately surrounded by dancing women, doing a traditional wedding entrance dance. It was a fantastic experience and I I am happy I could have captured it for them.
