As a Mississauga wedding photographer, I’m always thrilled to capture love stories, and Sydney and Nicholas’ wedding was nothing short of magical. Their special day took place on a warm, sunny September day, filled with elegance, joy, and memorable moments.
We started the day with getting-ready photos at a nearby hotel, where Sydney and Nicholas prepared for their big day surrounded by their loved ones. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and love, setting the tone for a truly special wedding. Their first look took place at the stunning Islington Golf Club in Etobicoke, a hidden gem known for its picturesque grounds and serene ambiance. The rolling greens and charming setting provided the perfect backdrop for those emotional first moments they shared as a couple.
The ceremony was held at the historic St. Casimir's Church in Etobicoke, a beautiful Roman Catholic church with stunning architecture and a rich cultural heritage. Situated near Toronto’s west end, the church’s elegant interiors and warm atmosphere created an intimate and spiritual setting for Sydney and Nicholas to exchange their vows.
After the ceremony, we returned to the Islington Golf Club, where guests enjoyed a delightful cocktail hour. This venue offers more than just beauty—it’s an excellent choice for weddings with its spacious reception areas, professional staff, and seamless blend of indoor elegance and outdoor charm. It’s one of those locations that effortlessly enhances every moment, from candid guest interactions to breathtaking couple portraits.
As the sun began to set, we stepped outside to capture golden hour magic. The soft, warm glow of the sunset against the lush greenery created some of my favorite images of the day. I always love sneaking away with my couples for a few minutes during sunset or later in the evening—it’s a chance to create intimate, timeless portraits that truly capture the beauty of the day.
This wedding held an extra special place in my heart, as it was my second time photographing this wonderful family. Two years ago, I had the honor of capturing the wedding of Sydney’s aunt.
